We partnered with the Young SEAkers for the TYS Industry Immersion Program 2022 providing participants with invaluable opportunities to learn more about the fascinating sustainability industry through interactive lessons and exclusive sustainability corporate visits to places such as City Developments Limited!
Participants will receive a certificate endorsed by TYS, YSI SEA, and ASEAN Foundation.
This brings great opportunities for us to educate people on the power of corporate harnessing sustainability goals.
The coporate visit day was split into three segments:
City Developments Limited is a leading property developer that aims to build sustainable buildings.
Its South Beach Tower is a novel example that leverages solar panels and innovative building designs to reduce energy consumption for its residential and office tenants.
Also, participants headed to the Singapore Sustainability Academy located at City Square Mall and were given a tour around the mall and were introduced to various green features that helped the mall clinch BCA Green Mark Award (Platinum), the highest accolade possible!
Lastly, Ms Esther An shared on CDL's sustainability journey and how CDL is embracing ESG to achieve sustained growth and CDL's future plans which include plastic neutral buildings and nurturing an eco-conscious generation of tomorrow by partnering with National Library Board to create the world's first-ever green library for kids!
Through this corporate visit, participants were able to get an insider's view on how real estate developers in Singapore can play their part in ensuring Singapore remains eco-sustainable through many small actions which will eventually lead to a large impact!
A big shoutout to the strong support provided by TYS's CDL friends, Zachary Soh and Rena Tan, and friends from the National Youth Council Singapore under the Asia-Ready Exposure Program!
